Indigenous Women Ranger Awards
The Australian Indigenous Women Ranger Awards honours and gives national recognition to Indigenous women rangers who have shown outstanding commitment to caring for Country, community and culture.
Nominations are available for women who identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander woman and are aged 18 years old or over. Indigenous women rangers, senior rangers, ranger coordinators and/or Elders can be nominated by anyone, and women are encouraged to self-nominate.
Nominations will be assessed by a panel in a fair and transparent process to ensure all nominees have equal opportunity.

Entries close 11:59pm on 13 February 2025. Finalists will be notified on 20 February 2025 and Winners announced on 6 March 2025 at the Indigenous Women Rangers Network Forum Gala Dinner.

National Ranger of the Year Award
This award is to recognise an Indigenous woman ranger, senior ranger, ranger coordinator and/or Elder who has shown excellence in her work caring for Country, community and culture and/or raising the profile of Indigenous women rangers.
Eligibility:
The nominee must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander woman.
The nominee must be 18 years or older.
The nominee must be currently an Indigenous woman ranger, senior ranger, ranger coordinator and/or Elder.
Mentoring & Leadership Award
This award is to celebrate and recognise an Indigenous woman ranger who has shown a commitment to mentoring and showing leadership in their team and community, and/or raising the profile of Indigenous women rangers (e.g. serving on committees, presenting at conferences, advocating for Indigenous women rangers, etc.).
Eligibility:
The nominee must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander woman.
The nominee must be 18 years or older.
The nominee must be an Indigenous woman senior ranger, ranger coordinator and/or Elder.
Young Ranger Award
This award is to recognise and encourage a young ranger who is excelling in her role and showing potential as an emerging leader.
Eligibility:
The nominee must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander woman.
The nominee must be over 18 years old.
The nominee must be 25 years old or younger.
The nominee must be an Indigenous woman ranger.
Lifetime Achievement Award
This award is to honour an Indigenous woman ranger who has made an outstanding contribution to caring for Country, community and culture, and preserving and passing down knowledge, experience and skills.
Eligibility:
The nominee must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander woman.
The nominee must be 18 years or older.
The nominee must currently be or has previously been for five years or more an Indigenous woman ranger, senior ranger, ranger coordinator and/or Elder.
Collaboration Award
This award celebrates Indigenous women rangers, organisations, projects, initiatives and/or programs that support and promote women working together to care for Country, community and culture.
Eligibility:
The nominees must identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander women.
The nominees must be 18 years or older.
The nominees must be currently two or more teams of Indigenous woman rangers, senior rangers, ranger coordinators and/or Elders working together on project, initiative or program caring for Country and/or supporting and promoting women rangers.
